The Blausee Trail will officially open on July 12. The trail is suitable for both beginners and advanced riders. Watch the video to learn more about the challenges of building the trail and the new trail in the Aletsch Arena.
The Blausee Trail starts at Blausee and leads to Riederalp. Philipp Bont from the trail-building company VAST-Trails was responsible for constructing the trail.
“The trail is designed for recreational riders,” says Bont. The trail is suitable for beginners as well as advanced riders. Bont advises visitors to ride the Wurzenbord Trail first. “Anyone who can handle that one without any problems is ready for the Blausee Trail.”
Along the way, riders will discover beautiful spots. “The coolest section is right at the start,” he enthuses. “With undulations, jumps, and a view of the Matterhorn.”
An excavator was used to build the trail. “Sustainability and nature are very important to us,” says Bont. The impact on nature was kept to a minimum. The sod was reinstalled after the trail was completed as part of the renaturation process.
